hey

Just wondering if it's cool if I install vBulletin temporarily on a different domain to what I've stated in the license section (as I need to do some mods)?

cheers

Best to set the test forum in a directory on the same domain as your license:
If you have a valid Software license, you may set up an additional test forum in order to test code, template and database modifications. To make this clear to us and our license verification procedures, place it in a directory called 'testvb' and be sure to password protect it. It must not be accessible by the general public.

Hmm, see I'm trying to integrate many pieces of software (vbulletin, mediawiki, phpizabi, wordpress), but I have my main site setup nicely... so I don't want to screw-up the code on that. Since I'm an amateur coder and just doing code hacks to get the integration working.

Will the SHTF if I do install on one domain, test it out, get skins and logins setup... then install on my other domain, get that working... and then uninstall on the first domain?

This is my first time messing with vB so I'm not sure how anal they are about doing this.

Well, they have a support forum with employees of Jelsoft answering the questions, so you could ask them directly.

See http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/

There is also a possibility to setup VB on a local machine and you can do the testing
