The default feature sends an email if the birthday is filled out. It doesn't send a PM.

I'm getting a strange problem when members receive a pm from this hack

it shows like this:

Subject: Happy Birthday! Unregistered

Happy Birthday to you Unregistered,

We here at my board,
wishes to you to have a good day and Happy birthday Unregistered

Regards,
Nathan.

Is there anyway to fix this?

Thanks for any help :)

I am having the same problem on every one that it sends out, hopefully someone can have a look at this soon. I hate to uninstall it. :(

Was there ever a fix for this? I know that I'd like to use this as a nice personal touch with my members once I'm up and running.

ok i have just installed this myself and found the error that the pm came from me the admin

so i have replaced the code

$bbuserinfo[username]

with

$userinfo[username]

and now the pm is correct as per

Happy Birthday to you Ming,
We here at the [UCS] Clan Forums,
wish you to have a good day and Happy birthday Ming
Regards, Post Bot.

Yeah this corrects one problem but the PM title still has one problem too.

It says "Happy Birthday from Unregistered" even if my user ID and nickname are setup in the vbulletin options.

I guess it would have to do with the code in this file: birthdaypm.php

$pmdm->set('fromuserid', $vbulletin->options['devel_birth_pm_send_id']);
$pmdm->set('fromusername', unhtmlspecialchars($vbulletin->userinfo['username']));
eval(fetch_email_phrases('devel_birthdaypm', $userinfo['languageid']));
$pmdm->set('title', $subject);

Probably something to change in there but what?

I am having the same problem. Does anyone know how to fix the unregistered error? It says:

Subject: Happy Birthday Unregistered,

very impersonal and annoying. I hope someone comes up with a solution soon.

I don't think we will ever get any help for our problems since the hack is not supported anymore.
