I made this one for my own forum and after success of releasing my first style for free I thought I would do the same for the second version.

This style requires the mod "left_side_column" found here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=117988&highlight=left+side+column)

~Instructions~

Upload the contents of the Vista VB II folder according to your file tree.
Import style VistaVBII.xml
To get the login panel you see on the left you will first need to import the product "left_side_column"

Then....

Login to your admincp, go to style manager select "edit templates" for the vista vb II style.

double click "forum home templates"
then "forumhome_sidecolumn_left"

Clear everything in the template then paste the followong in the template...

<------------------ Insert the below code into forumhome_sidecolumn_left

<tr>
<td class="thead" align="center">
Member Info
</td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td class="alt1">
<div style="padding: 8px 6px 0 0;"><div class="user">
<if condition="$bbuserinfo['userid']">
<strong><phrase 1="$bbuserinfo[username]">$vbphrase[welcome_x]</phrase></strong>
<div class="smallfont">
<phrase 1="$pmbox[lastvisitdate]" 2="$pmbox[lastvisittime]">$vbphrase[last_visited_x_at_y]</phrase>
<if condition="$show['pmstats']"><br /><phrase 1="$vbphrase[unread_x_nav_compiled]" 2="$vbphrase[total_x_nav_compiled]" 3="$session[sessionurl_q]">$vbphrase[private_messages_nav]</phrase></if>
</div>
<else />
<!-- login form -->
<form action="login.php" method="post" onsubmit="md5hash(vb_login_password, vb_login_md5password, vb_login_md5password_utf, $show[nopasswordempty])">

Great looking style but I'm not a fan of fixed width versions. Also prefer not to have template edits. Keep up the good work though !

its very very nice... installed!! how hard would it be to make it a little wider.... for some reason, the added colum pushes my tables to the right.. causing a misalignment..

feel free to check it out... if you go to my site go to the theme selector... and choose the last theme...

Thank you,

I see the problem.

I can fix that pretty easily. I'll take a look at it when I get home.

aside from the colors, it reminds me of Windows 95 theme.

It's nice but I found this style was Google the net and wondering if someone can implement this into vB style. It'd be freaking awesome.

The thing is this is IPB skin and I do not have the original url to the site. It's a ripped skin anyway.

Really wonderful. Would you please make it in fluid version as well?
Are you talking about the original window vista style or the image that I posted?

I am talking about the original window vista style... the Deme you have shown is a fixed width one, and I would love it if you kindly give us in fluid version. (Full window width). And without the left side bar.

Thanks

just change the width to 100%, and just don't add the colum... simply really, just relocate your logging section, or if you use vbadvanc ed, then just use that to let people log in.

Thank you for all the kind comments...

As for support and making this 100% fluid...

I will try as soon as I can to make a fluid version with a standard login panel located at the top of the page, However I am very busy on more than one project for paying customers so I can't make any promises as to when the altered style will be available. Please understand that I make these free styles for fun in my spare time, not for a living, so making changes to a style I have already designed can take some time.

With that said, If anyone wants to change this style and post a fluid version here on vborg, that is fine by me, as long as the original link back remains in place and credit is given for the original design.

Thank you again...
V

Hello everyone, been quite some time since Ive been on here.

I havent done any work on this style since 2007 and have no intentions of updating it so please keep that in mind if you are using/considering using this style.

I am working on some new styles and have finally started developing vBcustomized.com (http://www.vbcustomized.com)

I will be posting some new styles for vB 3.8.x here in the next day or two.

take care
