Hope someone can help.
My url is not showing my correct Domain name, it shows the host address instead??
Do i need to set the nameserver, and if so, can someone please explain exactly how to do it?
my site is in my sigbox if you need to see what i mean.
Thanks in advance

Change the NS!
Login to Domain C.P
There you will get a option to edit NS! , enter the NS provided by your Hoster

i get "canot find server" you will need to set at least two nameservers in the control panel where you registerd that domain. Then you will need to wait for 24 - 72 hours to let it propogate. But you mentioned you already waited for 24 hours so .....
it would be helpfull if you tell us who is responsible for your dns ? if you have a dedicated server it is you (yourself) then you run most probably BIND (also known as "named") if your dns is handled by your dns agent then get in touch with them and tell them something is wrong here.
if this works
http://your_ip_here
but this refuses to work
http://www.domainname.co.uk
then it is a dns issue
you need to fill in your two nameservers at your registerar control panel usually it is something like ns1.you.com and ns2.you.com.If you are on a shared host this host most supply there nameservers to you

I have changed the nameservers 1 & 2
Still nothing.
How do i find out who is in charge of my DNS?
What do i change it to?
When i go to my control panel for my domain, there is 'manage DNS'
My domain is at 123-reg.co.uk
I am trying to move the name to http://www.Darksidegroup.co.uk/gamez
thanks

your nameservers are not correct.Who is responsible depends on whether you are hosted on a shared host or a dedicated server. Two nameservers you most likely have to use are
ns.123-reg.co.uk
ns2.123-reg.co.uk
this link (http://www.123-support.co.uk/)might also be helpfull

If i use these nameservers then my Domain still does not show.
When you type the
PG URL, it will take you to my board, but the Projectgamez.co.uk url does not show.
It just shows darksidegroup.co.uk/gamez
I have had it show PG.co.uk on all pages, but not the correct thread info, this makes it impossible to link back.
EDit
I have now changed the nameserves back to the ones you said.
I now have another issue.
I can either have the Pg.co.uk url showing, but the thread/post url details do not show, so no link backs at all.
Or i can have the Darkside url and the thread url details show.
any suggestions?
Thanks

you mean your url does not show for example forumdisplay.php?f=10 etc ? then you nameservers are correct but they are not setup to "serve" as a domainname.Probably you have requirerd domaniname records missing. It looks your domain is just serving as a forwarding service ? get in touch with your dns agent support also an excellent tool to help you "diagnose" dns problems is here (http://www.dnsreport.com)

This is out of my league.
I just cant seem to wrap my head round this.
I assume that 123 have the DNS but i cant figure out what to change and what to even ask to be changed.
I am lost now. :confused::confused:
