Hi,
I've been working on my site for a good month or so. I am looking for a review specifically on the design and forum layout. I would like to know what you think of the skin, colors, icons, etc. Let me know what you like the most and what you like the least. Thanks everyone!
The link to our forum is http://www.completegfx.com/forum/index.php
Thanks again!

Nice design but it breaks in IE6. You may want to look into that as many many users still use IE6 ;)

@Kinneas, useless post...
ok, a review:
1- the 3d effect on buttons/forum icons is just amazingly fresh... i like it
2- alt1/alt2 colors are well matched... a good balance
3- maybe the font on tcat is too simple.. use a bold balanced color would help read it
4- rounded corners are greatly designed... and put in the right places (not everywhere!)
5- maybe change the default images fdrom GARS, they are ugly and does not fit your style...
6- thread icons are default, so ugly.. lol bring the forum icons to the rescue!
7- the footer does break in parts on some pages... make the font smaller and a fixed height would help
8- login box on top, the side images are not fixed, they explode on Firefox, like 1px... drop the border to 0 for everything there...
9- global overall review: great, just need some fixes to make it perfect!
10- content of site... not too much forums, focused content... GOOD!

Yeah I was thinking that from the beginning. That will be changed as soon as I have time to get around to that. :)

Yeah this is such a pain. I need to come up with a transparent png solution because I'm not exactly sure if IE6 supports it. I also need to make this XHTML and css valid on wc3. Hopefully I can get around to this soon!

Thank you for the review! This is the most constructive reply yet!
1. Thank you. I just made these yesterday.
2. Thanks, but I plan on changing these very soon.
3. Yes, I have been planning on updating my css with a darker color font and links.
4. :) When this is finished all the corners will be rounded. In photoshop it looks lovely.
5. GARS... and GeekMart... Yeah, these definitely need some work. I'm going to completely customize the phrases and all the templates on these addons. Future work.
6. That was the plan for today!
7. That's a work in progress.
8. I will be looking into this. I wasn't aware of a border in that area.
9. Thanks
10. I plan on building up these forum with content for our users and guests. I'm thinking this has to wait until the site is completed all the way around.

Thanks!!

The login box breaKS ie7
Yes, this I plan on fixing this in the near future. I think the reason I haven't got to this yet is the fact that I'm logged in 99% of the time I spend on the site and everything appears fine logged in. I need to get on that. Thanks!

Good graphic skills and design. The issues mentioned above will surely be addressed. Otherwise: love it ;)

Yeah I'm steadily working on the site everyday between client work. But I think the end result will be nice. Hopefully.

Okay I have fixed the login issue on the site and added a png fix for older browsers to display our transparent layout images correctly. If you are using a browser pre-IE7 take a look at it and let me know if you are seeing any nasty white borders around the site.
Thanks
