They have installed an "SEO" hack. In fact, they make the forum slower but some people believe that this gets them higher rankings on search engines.

For some it works, for others it doesn't. It really depends on your site, and its content.

Back in 2002? Oh man what a SEO script like vBSEO or Zonts could have done. Now? Everyones competing and content is still king, but even more so.
