restict access to thread starter and staff

Hello,
what i would like to achieve is something like support system with VB :)

i have VB setup somewhere, i want to create a forum in it,
where Only thread starter and staff should be able to see threads,
no other people.

is there anyway to achieve it or am i just dreaming?

AdminCP -> Forum Manager -> Forum Permissions

Find which ever usergroup under the forum you want and press the [Edit] link. On the next page look for the "Can View Others' Threads" and set it to "No". May also want set "Can Reply to Others' Threads" to "No".

I believe you can do this with out of the box functionality. Just set normal users to:

Can View Forum - Yes
Can View Thread Content - Yes
Can View Others' Threads - No
Can Post Threads - Yes
Can Reply to Own Threads - Yes

And set your staff group to also be able to:

Can View Others' Threads - Yes

i have created a seperate usergroup and i put all those conditions for that group but still they are able to post replies on others thread?
