post quick reply hangs

post quick reply button is very sluggish or just hangs while trying to submit. if you do a normal post reply everything works just fine, but the quick post reply just hangs sometimes. one interesting note, when you optimize/repair tables it temporarily improves the problem.

my style is dark_vb_v2 and i have vb 3.6.5

any suggestions on how to go about troubleshooting and correcting this problem?

However, I can tell you that most of my members complain about this issue.

I myself, primarily use Firefox. According to my server stats most of my users are using IE.
