Vanilla Cola

I originally made this back in 2003 for IPB, with several updates over the years for IPB.

It's now been re-made entirely for the latest current version of vB (3.6.8).

This is my first skin for vB, although I've made various ones in the past for IPB. :)

:: Live Demo (http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/index.php?act=idx&styleid=11) ::

Skin Description: Vanilla Cola is a rich, warm and vibrant skin theme - inspired originally a few years ago by the colours on the Vanilla Cola drink cans. The skin features vibrant and bold colours, with customised icons, logos and colours throughout.

(Some example screenshots attached).

Please remember to click the 'Mark as Installed' link if you use/install Vanilla Cola. Your constructive feedback is also very welcome, which helps me with any future releases. :D

The skin was created using 'Fireworks' and I have original .png files available to modify if you require any additional buttons or text changes, etc - please let me know and I will always be happy to help where time allows.

Donations to NFHiB (http://www.nfh.org.uk/forums/index.php) are welcome if you'd like to make one.

To install:

1. Download the .zip file here called "Vanilla_Cola.zip". It contains both the image set needed for Vanilla Cola and an .xml file called "vbulletin-style.xml".

2. Extract the contents of the .zip file to your computer and upload the 'vc' folder (situated in the main forum 'images' directory') to 'yourforum/images' directory to create a new subfolder with its contents inside 'vc'. You need to ensure the file path is to: yourforum/images/vc - otherwise the images will not load in the Vanilla Cola skin.

3. Go to your ACP > Styles & Templates > Download / Upload Styles: 'Import Style XML File ' and click the button 'Browse'. Locate the Vanilla Cola .xml file from your computer and then click the 'Import' button (after noting any additional entries you may need to complete above, such as 'Display Order' etc). Please do not remove the skin footer copyright link or redistribute/sell the Vanilla Cola skin theme, thank you.

All done - Vanilla Cola is now installed and ready to use, I hope you enjoy using it! :D

Hi Vick,

That's strange, I've just downloaded the .zip attachment here and unpacked normally and successfully.

Is anyone else having problems? :)

I got the same errors trying to extract it with WinRAR 3.51. One can extract it without problems with WinZIP 11.1, though.

Hi Nj?rd - thanks for the info. :)

The file was packed using WinZip Pro 11, I wonder why WinRAR has problems then? :erm:

I think that there are some compression settings in WinZip 11 that are incompatible with other unzippers.

Thanks for the info about the WinZip .zip file everyone. :)

I've uploaded another .zip file that I've packed using WinRar as an alternative. The file can be downloaded from this post (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=1309362&postcount=2).

I hope this works for people and please let me know if any problems, thanks.
