Tad confused

I have noticed for a lot of modifications, that some are not supported. But no explanation is given as to why.

If I do an upgrade to the latest version of Vb, my users profile, which is custom, will be reverted back to the original format.

Is there no way to upgrade with all hard gone to waste?

Or is there a condition list that has to be met before a mod is supported?

When posting a modification, the member has an option to tick "supported".

Supporting a modification is up to the author.

TIPS

you should always run an upgrade test on a test board prior to doing it on the live site
template changes should be done on default or custom style NOT the Master Style
if you are worried that templates will be "reverted" download/save the style prior to upgrading
