Everything in this forum while ignoring the style version should theoretically give you a 3.6.8 style - i cant image they change all that much.

I would try ignoring the style versions and reverting a few templates

Are you looking for paid or free skins?

Most of the skins from 3.6.6 will work fine with 3.6.8 as they only need a few tweaks for them to work without problems. Generally 3.6.5 and below are a bit mor hassel.
