Forum Background Color

I'm attempting to design my first forum theme here, but this variable escapes me.

The Forum background is FFFFFF, but i want the left and right sides of it to be colored, as is shown on the image.

Suggestions?

Styles & Templates -> Style Manager -> Main CSS (Dropdown next to Style Name) -> Body; Background
