This is the addon to integrate ibProArcade 2.6.6+ with vBCredits 1.4x

Now you can use vBCredits (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=151924) for ibProArcade (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=101554&highlight=ibproarcade) just like you used to, except better!

You will need BOTH installed on your forum already for this addon to work!

Unique Plugin OptimizationNow, ibProArcade was originally meant for another points hack, which was pretty much hard coded into the script, and is still there. So, basically you have to remove all of that code and replace it with the new vBCredits code.




I have two options for you:
I have the set of ibProArcade files pre-edited for you (used with permission)
I have provided the instructions for editing your own arcade files (if you have other addons you dont want to undo by overwritting the originals)In either case - you still have to follow all directions in the instructions! The above is only step #3!

I will post announcements and updates here though regarding it. There is also a v3 Arcade version with the same features.

ok, so I'm a n00b :p I made the 13 edits and reuploaded them, then imported the xml but got this error...............

The following dependencies were not met:
The product credits must be installed before this product may be installed. (Compatible starting with 1.3)

What did I miss?

You don't need to have vbplaza installed. You only need ibpro arcade and vbcredits 1.3 or higher.

I installed this with ibProArcade v2.6.2+ yesterday, all the code blocks are present and it seems to work ok on my site.

The code blocks are different in ibProArcade v2.6.3+ though.

Ehmz... I don't like the place where it's now in the usergroups.
The arcadecredit part is now between the first section (Usergroupid) and the second one being the "forum viewing permissions" for that usergroup.

I would like to make a suggestion for the next version.
Please place the arcadecredits section in or above/below the section of vbcredits which is lower in the usergruop, or in the arcade section which is also lower.

Seems best to me to not disturb the default usergroup items and settings sections and place all mods below all the default setup options.;)

You can better first upgrade to 1.4rc2. It's not that much work and RC2 is much better and has nice features and several bugfixes.

it will work with 1.4x, including b1, rc1, and rc2, however i do recommend upgrading to rc2 due to the pretty large bugs in rc1 :D

also, the edited files are ONLY step 3 in the overall installation of this addon. you still have a file to upload, product to import, etc (follow the instructions!!)

I installed the mod and everything seems fine except my members can't start the new tournament any more. I don't know what went wrong but when my member click "start a new tournament", It goes to the "start a new tournament" oage but nothing shows up.

I used the link on Vbcredits site to download 1.4rc2 and installed in on my V3 Arcade running on 3.6.7. Everything seemed fine with no errors. I configured my usergroups and set costs on games.

BUT...when my members click on Arcade pass to buy...or click on a game which costs credits to play, they are denied with a screen saying "you do not have enough credits to play"...when actually they do.

I realise V3 Arcade and IBPro are 2 different arcades, but i followed instuctions on VBcredits site which was talking about V3 arcade.

I'ts NEARLY there i think ive just overlooked something. You mention Step 3 here on this site? What step 3...there was no 3rd step in the instuctions i downloaded. Also...when i installed the prouct...i clicked overwrite...should i have done this? Just looking for some advice on how to resolve...thanks.

umm, you really should have asked this on vbcredits.com (if you did and i didnt get to your question yet, i apologize, but you should still have left your question there :D). in the v3 thread is the instructions you are missing - you need to find and change the various appearances of "credits_canget" to "credits_canspend" throughout the files and plugins. the exact locations are listed in that thread.

I've installed this with Vb 3.7 RC3 and I don't see any option to require credits in order to play a game. I do see where it costs $10,000 for an arcade pass. I didn't set that amount and I don't see anywhere to change it.

4) Import the supplied product-credits_ibproarcade.xml file into your vBulletin Product system, be sure to allow overwrite.

5) Review the settings for the addon under the Addon Settings for vBCredits.

I see no where to make settings adjustments.

- There is a mass-configuration tool provided by ibProArcade at the bottom of the games list in the ACP.

Is there anyway to have a "visual" arcade pass. Like an arcade pass icon and/or data that appears by the pm message info at the top of the screen to let you know you still have a pass.

For example you could have a green icon when you have the pass and red or greyed out icon show when the arcade pass expires with a link to purchase a new one.

Any pointers on the template variables related to the arcade passes would be appreciated.

in the arcade there should be a message saying when the active pass expires. you can play around with this in the arcade/modules/mod_arcade.php file

well, put the code in the parse_templates plugin, and use $the_links in the navbar template.

you will have to alter that code a little to fit better, but thats the basics

When a usergroup is excluded from using vBCredits, it doesn't affect the arcade use.

If there is a charge to play the game, they must pay it and if they get a high score, they are awarded the jackpot.

Is there a way to remove the requirement for credits to play the arcade if they are excluded from using the credits system?

If not, this would be a good idea for a future release. ;)

If you want to restrict to only the champion, set the minimum rank to win in the global settings to 1 (default is 5 iirc)

1. Is the Jackpot random or do you win it from beating the person holding first?

2. Are you notified that you won jackpot or do you just see it with your credits?

I had my arcade set to where users had to pay 25 credits to play a game. I changed it back to free play but I kept the jackpots for each game. Members are telling me that they have won a trophy but they don't get the jackpot. I have the jackpot set to static and each game has a 100 credit jackpot. This seems like a small setting somewhere.

Any ideas?

try setting some miniscule cost, like .001

In the installation file it mentioned something about doing edits from "For old Bulletins.txt" but i couldn't find that file. The only instance of it was in the original vbcredits download and i made those edits...

Actually I didn't get that issue anymore but I started another problem...

When I go to play a game, it takes my credits but I get a database error:

Invalid SQL:

MySQL Error : Unknown column 'credits_paid' in 'field list'

Just a little update,

We uninstalled arcade multiple times, used the same hacks you provide (last time I was using the wrong set, I used 267 instead of 268 which I did now use) and its resulting in database errors. Without this hack, I can play arcade game. With the hack it would take my credits but not play the game.

Finally got this hack uninstalled but now when we go to re-install it, its giving another error...screenshot is attached.

Ok I did that and got a successful message. I then tried to re-install the spend credits in your ibproarcade hack. Copied everything over like instructed. I copied the hacks over first over writing the previous files and then put in the xml file on my server.

I go to import it and get this error now:

I have it working on a vb4 test forum..
open up the product-credits_ibproarcade.xmlfile and find this line
<dependency dependencytype="product" parentproductid="credits" minversion="1.4" maxversion="" />
simple change it to
<dependency dependencytype="product" parentproductid="credits" minversion="1.1.0" maxversion="" />

this only lets you import the xml, you cannot buy an arcade pass or win money.

I forget but the new vbcredit is using a different table for the credits/ cash. this needs to be changed .. I think you could add it in the admincp Currency manager.

i have found an empty table vbcredits in my database, so i added a new currency, filled in some cash and played a testgame. Sadly it doesn't work too, the amount did not change :(

see the old vbcredit didn't use vbcredits ..
so what ever it used before it what the old mod for the arcade is using ..

find that and change it in the arcade mod and your in..
I will peek at it when I get a few ..
