Someone please help

Someone please help me here. Im trying to upgrade my forum, but in a wierd way. What i want to do is install a fresh 3.6.8, then import my members/posts/threads. Im using Impex. And its not going very well, when I import all the forum are out of order, it says there are no registered members. Please someone write a quick guide on how I do the is correctly.:(

Oh and when I import phrase it says : failed phrase not impleted duplicate key

ImpEx is not the tool to use when upgrading. You should use the normal upgrade.php instead.

Also did you follow both the manual and the HOW-TO (ImpEx forum on vb.com), also the steps that need to be performed after the import?

I know impex isnt how I upgrade. Im trying to get a clean, non modded vb, but still keep my posts and members. Yes I followed the manual.

Yo might want to check this link, http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=191791. Also you need to update rest of the counters as well and you would need to delete the import user usergroup to transfer users to registered user usergroup.

Just upload fresh files and remove your products -- no need for ImpEx.
