I was looking for a file upload type hack for my forum. Kinda like the imagehosting one that you can have your members upload images to your website for later use, but for all files, not just images. Is that possible? And if so, can someone hook it up?
Also, maybe like a page that displays all the files you have uploaded and can organize them there and what not.

So you would want it to upload any type of file other than one with a programming extension, like .php or .js? How about also having it set up so members could give other members access to view their files.
I am working on a script just like this for a site I'm building.
I'd be happy to release a vBulletin version of it when it's done. So fire any more ideas you have on a network file system.

Lol, alright, I can go on forever about this.
Maybe something that...
You must make a new folder to direct the plugin to write folders in that folder naming it the name of the actual username. So they could like have their own subdomain in a way.
[Admin]Make it so we can customize everything: [Admin]
How much space everyone has, or each group has.
A list of extensions that can be uploaded.
Pretty much like having an FTP account, but accessible ONLY via vBulletin. And NOT on a subdomain, just in a folder that you link it to, will make sub folders with each persons username, or even have it so they can choose their folder name in that main folder, ONCE only.
I'd like peeps to be able to upload, zips, rars, image files, and txts and such, whatever. So it is like they have their own website.
Anyways, I gotta go to work, I will post more when I think of more, which I know there is moer. :D

So a list of extensions, and a place where you can authorize X amount of space to each user group.
Would anyone else be interested in this type of hack?

I am in the works of turning my semi vb integrated file sharing platform into a pretty much full vb integrated file sharing platform. From the previous post, I see this is already out , though I will be adding components the present one does not presently offer.
