Hi,

Vbulletin.org team, please keep in mind that for some people vbulletin.org is not only about fun, it is about work. Please keep the site up and stop doing 'site maintenance' all the time. The "site maintenance" should be done on a regular schedule and people should be informed about it in advance.

Regards,
Razvan

I'm pretty sure that message is shown when the server is overloaded, not just when it's actual "site maintenance".

"Site Maintenance" is a general page that is (also) shown whenever there are problems with one of the servers. We (both vb.com and vb.org) websites are having some problems lately with MySQL crashing too often.

We often run very new versions, so we can experience any problems with such a version before our customers do. One of the downsides is that we might have a bit more problems, but i agree that it is getting too much lately. We are currently working together with MySQL tech's on pinpointing the reasons and finding a solution.

Thank you. I am glad to know that you are looking into this issue.

You're probably on Paul's Miserable User (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=121886) list.

Just kidding. They would never install that hack here. :erm:

Or would they?

Anyway, yes, it's getting a bit ridiculous. But you just deal with it :).

i prefer having mySQL errors on this site than on my own actually... if you are bothered by such errors too often, that may be a message from the system.... get off and take care of your site instead of keeping bugging here.. LOL

It should be better from now on.

(Well the issues might still occur, but we changed the error page ;))

I bet they just shift the blame. Error Message: You have done something wrong and received an error. Please try not to do it again.
