Where to change width?

It seems as if my style is set to a certain percentage width of the browser. It shows up okay on small screens but on my 19" display it is wider than I want it to be. How and where do I change that?

In your ACP: Styles & Templates(drop down), Style Manager> *Choose style to edit, All Style options(GO)

Right now it is set to 80%. What do I put if I want to change it to a fixed pixel width? For example, 720 pixels? Do I put 720px?

Yes, you put 720px.

I think something else overrides it because nothing happened when I changed that width setting. ???

try 720 ..
if that doesn't work .. do you have any custom styles?
if so I suggest checking your modified templates
