phpBB.de to vBulletin?

I did try to search and see if this had been answered previously but couldn't find anything specific. Forgive me if it is a duplicate. I am already a vB user and have almost convinced my friend to make the only logical move for his growing forum - to shift his forum from the monstrous phpBB.de to vfBulletin. My question - is it possible to import posts with attached images, membership and forums from his exisiting forum into the new vB one? Is there some kind of script and instructions available for assisting with this? Thanks to anyone who takes the time to help.

When your friend gets a license, they can download ImPex from the vBulletin members area which converts their board from phpBB to vBulletin. This imports:

All of the members will be required to changed their passwords so they need a valid email to do this.
