Find in your forumhome_forumbit_level2_post template:
<a href="forumdisplay.php?$session[sessionurl]f=$forum[forumid]"><strong>$forum[title]Add before:
<a href="search.php?$session[sessionurl]do=getdaily&forumid=$forum[forumid]"><img class="inlineimg" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/lastpost.gif" alt="Today's Posts in this Forum" border="0" /></a>

Strange, that's exactly how it's done on my board. Can you post up a copy of the relevant template?

I just tried it, works fine -- for me anyway.
Edit: I see now what you mean: Guests can't perform the query, doing so returns that error. I suggest using a conditional to prevent Guests from seeing the button.

But because of me being the Admin of the Website, it should theoretically work but it obviously doesnt : (

I tested it on my board and as long as the user is logged in, the query works. Not sure why you're having trouble.
