I run a fair sized forum and for some reason theres people running brute force scripts tryin to access other areas of my forums. I am curious if there are any timers or anything so after 2 or 3 wrong passwords you have to wait 5-10 mins to login? Or does anyone have anygood suggestions for security?

There is a setting within vBulletin Options under General Settings called Use Login "Strikes" System, which when enabled will lockout a specific IP address from logging in after 5 incorrect logins.

aha, thanks i knew vb had a option for it but i couldnt find it anywhere thanks
