Anyone have a GOOD host, reseller, with WHM. A couple years ago I was at a great host with WHM, unlimited domains, etc for 20 bucks a month, but I can't remember who it was...
Anyone know a host with something like this?

I have heard a lot of complaints about hostgator...are they legit complaints or just circumstantial complaints? Like I'm with hostmonster and I am experiencing the cpu exceeded issue, plus my site has been up and down consistently without notice.
Is there any on going issues or just people who are upset with 1 issue?

there is always complains about hosts. a lot of them related to hostgator are more bad attitudes from the clients themselves that think they are gods that deserve to be served like gods...
on my side, i even supported some of the people complaining to see what was going on with hostgator, and just by reading the logs from their discussions, i can tell that they complains because they are morons... they want to be served yesterday for errors they do themselves...
none of my clients never had a problem with hostgator btw.. ;) (i host 34 big forums and sites today)

Instead of getting a reseller, why don't you just go for a VPS? Unlike the dedicated, they aren't that much costy.

I'm not too familiar with VPS.
Isn't that a mix between shared and dedicated? I'm not too familiar with administering a linux machine. Would there be monitoring, etc?

a Monitored VPS can be super spendy. a VPS isn't cheap to begin with, but getting a monitored VPS is almost twice the cost.

Trust me, sometimes, the best host is yourself. Usually only for small websites though, assuming you have the right software, and you leave your computer on. Although, as said before, if you have a big website that needs a beefy server, just get a VPS. BTW, I will never even attempt to use hostgator again. Support is the worst I have ever seen. My free host has better support.

I have been with hostgator for a few months now and have rarely had downtime. As for their reseller accounts, I am yet to upgrade but expect I will be soon.

switching to a reseller account is so easy on hostgator.. not because of the system but because the guys taking care of it are always trying to help... they can even do the whole transition for you... ;)
i tried both ways, 3 months ago.. .i've done it by hand, had problems figuring the things, and then asked for the team to do it... 5 minutes after asking, my 34 hosted clients were in their own place, no downtime, nothing to argue about...

I wish I could have been in your position. I will never even consider them as a host anymore.

it all depend on the attitude on both sides... and i suppose hitting the right support.
