1) I have a package with Dreamhost. How much memory does vB take up on your server?
2) Does anyone know of a good tutorial for setting up your vB layout/style?

1./ It really matters on how active your forums are.
2./ There are many styles available for you to download, you can choose one, or create your own.

vBulletin uses resources reasonably, but it depends on the size of your board.
Tutorials can be found here: http://vbulletin.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=184
If you should have any questions as to developing a style, I (and others here) can help you out. :)

Thanks to both of you.
I know that the more active your board is, the more it's going to take up, but I meant like right after installing the software, when no one has posted on it yet and it still needs to be set up better, what's the damage on your disk usage? What space does the system completely by itself take up?

It's not that much I have about five mods, using two custom skins, all images are diffrent than the standard ones. I'm at about 11MB, nothing overly too much.

vBulletin download is just under 3 MB.
My files take about 25 MB on one of my test forums. It has about 10 products added in including Project Tools and the Blog addon. There are two custom styles installed.
There are just under 200 tables in the database and its about 20 MB. There very few posts though.
