What do you mean by thread header? Can you post a screenshot pointing to where you would want the link?

Sorry - basically what I'm attempting to do is add a hyperlink button/icon to an existing thread that will enable users to open a single webpage with detailed information about the place being discussed in the thread.

After a member adds a thread, I'll input the detailed info into another part of the website (outside vB)...I'd then like to add the icon/button as an edit to the original post so that subsequent visitors can click through to the detailed info page.

Just edit their post with the following. Make sure you replace the words in capitals though.
