Hi. I purchased vBulletin the other day for a project I'm working on because of it's extendability and proven history of been able to handle anything thrown at it. I've already downloaded and installed a few hacks to get it exactly how I need it, but now I need a bit of advice please.

1) I need the homepage of the sit to be completely custom, bow forums or news etc, just a design with a tiny bot of info, all very web2.0 looking. I'm a web designer so I don't need any css/html help but I do need help from someone who can tell me how to get a custom homepage for my vBulleting site please? It's be nice if it could list like the 5 latest posts etc, but that's pretty much all I want to have on it from the main vBulletin based structure.

I have vBulletin installed in the root of the site so currently the default page is vBulletins default page.

2) I want a side navigation bar that has a bunch of static links in it to be there on all pages (i.e. a link to the home page then links to the main forums, that's all)

3) Then on some pages, as well as a constant static menu I'd like specific nav for that page, something like https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/info.php?do=rules

That's it for now I think! :)

I've seen plugions and hacks I think that can do all these seperately, but is there an easier way of doing all that sort of stuff?

As far as I can tell vbAdvanced seems like the way forward? If you have any other ideas or hacks that'd work I'd like to know please.

Thanks a lot!
Rich
