View Full Version : Strange... users cannot upload attachements?

If someone can just give me an idea of wtf is actually going on :D

Users suddenly cannot upload any attachements getting the error:

vBulletin Message
zimajays, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Only thingthat has changed is i moved my attachements to a filke system trather than a
database system.

Usergroups > Usergroup Manager > Registered users > Can Upload Attachments - Yes

What else could i have possibly changed by mistake?

Have you tried changing back to verify that's the cause?

Also did you make the folder 777.

More on this problem.....

Some user still cannot upload attachements (including some admin) from particular machines. However, if i try with their logins attachemtns can be uploaded with no issues.

What could be causing this and how can it be related to a local machine problem?

Sounds like a system admin issue/setting.

Any idea what setting could mof changed? Membesrs seem to be able to upload via photoplog fine so its even more confusing.

We have just figured out something really bazaar that works for some reason. The problem has to do with the WYSIWYG editor.

If you click on the 'post reply' button on the very top and bottom left of the posts, everyone is able to upload images in the box that comes up without any problem.

If you click on the 'go advanced' button at the bottom to upload images - you get the no permission message.

Any ideas anyone?

I have the same problem
some users can upload some of them can't all in the same group
