How to stop contact form spammers?

I have a lot of new people on my site so I don't want to remove that option all together, but 90% of my contact form/feedback is garbage spam. How can I stop the spam?

I use the sendmessage.php w/ captcha enabled instead of having the email on the bottom link. I was getting about 10 spam emails a day with my email at the bottom, when I changed to sendmessage.php the spam stopped.

in vBOptions there's an option to set the contact us address to whatever you want. Choose sendmessage.php there instead of your contact email address, and make sure captcha is enabled.

If you can use Imagemagick for Image Verification.
( vboptions-Image Settings - Image Verification Library).

To me the NoSpam alternative to the captcha image is the way to go.

For a couple months now, not 1 spammer has been able to register, and I have no contact us email spam.

I am still getting a bunch every day.
