Auto Collapsing

Is there a way to have all of my columns auto collapse automatically when someone comes to my forum?
IE I have a lot of sub-forums, and when someone comes to the forum I do not want them to be overwhemed. Is this possible? Thanks

Why not arrange your forums in a way that they aren't overwhelmed? By collasping all table/forums they sure as eggs will believe there is nothing to see.

Because it will be mostly used as direct link. Somone clicks on a city and it takes them to that cities part of the forum. And if they go to the forum directly, I would like them to click on the city then it takes them to the listing for that city.
If that makes sense.

So is this possible or no?
