Is there anyway to have the referral links direct to the main homepage of the forum rather then the registration page. A lot of people get directed straight to the registration page without ever seeing the forum so then they end up navigating the forum anyway before they decide to register.

Is there anyway of doing this without messing with the cookie information. I know they can navigate the forum anyway and then still decide to register later on and still have the person who referred them count.

It would be much appreciated.

I don't quite understand?

Ok...sorry I think I might not have been clear. I have the following the e-steki referrer statistics mod on my forum. When you go to hxxp://www.mysite.com/forums/referrers.php you can see a referral link link that the users can send to their friends or post somewhere. Here is the mod I'm talking about:

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=101000

And the referrer link looks like this:

hxxp://www.mysite.com/forums/register.php?referrerid=X

When someone clicks on that link they are taken directly to the registration page without ever seeing the actual forum. To me this doesn't make sense because most people end up looking through the forum before they decide to register. What I would like is for that link to take the person to my forum home page instead of the registration page, but would like to make sure that it still stores referral information in the cookies for when they do decide to register.

Hopefully someone can help me with this. At least can I make a redirect or something.

I asked the same thing some time ago, based on the same logic. I never found an answer, did you?

Yes...I figured out the answer for myself...you need to go into the referrer.php file and change "register.php" in that referral link to "index.php" and it would still store the person as a referral.
