Instant email notification

I want to be able to have someone subscribe to an entire forum and get instant email notifications.
I only see options for instant notification on a thread subscription.
For forum subscription it only has choice for daily notification.

Is this possible to have instant notification for an entire forum??

Can I tag onto this oldie?

On our forum users DO have the option of Instant email notification for threads, but not for Forums, when choosing Forum Tools > Subscribe, the only options available are No Email, Daily Email or Weekly Email.

How can we include Instant Email in the options?
