What is it?

Embed videos from IGN.com (movie trailers) via BB Code into your forum. As requested here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost.php?p=1267794&postcount=10).


How does it work?

Update: The BB Code has been fixed. In order to use it, use the following method, and update the old BB Code if installed.

To get the below code, open any IGN video, click the embed video button and then click the IGN Format tab and copy the code between the two tags and with the exception of object_ID=.

Example: object_ID=491519&downloadURL=http://moviesmovies.ign.com/movies/video/article/795/795922/diehard_maggiedies_061207_flvlowwide.flv

Would become: 491519&downloadURL=http://moviesmovies.ign.com/movies/video/article/795/795922/diehard_maggiedies_061207_flvlowwide.flv

How do I install?

Go to BBCode > Add new BB Code in your Admin CP and copy the following:

Title: IGN Movie Trailers

Tag: ign

Description: Embed movie trailers from IGN.

Replacement: (Updated) <embed src='http://videomedia.ign.com/ev/ev.swf' flashvars='object_ID={param}&allownetworking="all"' type='application/x-shockwave-flash' width='433' height='360' ></embed>

Example: (Updated) 491519&downloadURL=http://moviesmovies.ign.com/movies/video/article/779/779137/livefree_diehard_040907_flvlowwide.flv

Icon is attached below for use with this BB Code.

Quick question: I've placed <p align="center"> in the 'Replacement' Box to center the trailer in the middle of the thread, and it doesn't work...

Isn't better to pull the videos from iMac.com? :(

Try putting <center> </center> and see if that works. Alternitively just use the center BB Code when posting the videos.

Hi, actually this messes up other bbcodes.... :(

In what way? This should not mess up any other BB Code. Can you explain how?

BB Code has been updated. See first post for detials. This is a bug fix update.

In a nutshell: Re-do the replacement and example fields in the BB Code.

Sorry to write off topic but since it is mentioned I am interested is it against copyright rules or any other law to embed trailers from apple.com, I just tried bbcode for quicktime and it works fine, it would really look nice in posts?
