Profile edit 'Save' button is gone

I just promoted a crew member on my forum to Super Moderator and now he is reporting to me that when he goes to edit someone's profile in the modcp, that the 'save' button at the very bottom is missing. None of my other mods are experiencing this problem. He had the 'save' button when he was a crew member. But now that he's super mod he doesn't.

Any ideas?

I'm thinking his permissions might've got messed up (somehow). Check his permissions through the backend?
