What is it?

Embed videos from GameTrailers.com via BB Code into your forum. As requested here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=142608&highlight=game+trailers).

How does it work?

Find a video on Game Trailers that you want to embed. Copy and paste the number of the url into the bb code.

Example: gametrailers.com/player.php?id=20450&type=mov&pl=game

Would become: 20450

How do I install?

Go to BBCode > Add new BB Code in your Admin CP and copy the following:

Title: GameTrailers

Tag: gt

Replacement: <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=8,0,0,0" id="gtembed" width="480" height="409"> <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="sameDomain" /> <param name="movie" value="http://www.gametrailers.com/remote_wrap.php?mid={param}"/> <param name="quality" value="high" /> <embed src="http://www.gametrailers.com/remote_wrap.php?mid={param}" swLiveConnect="true" name="gtembed" align="middle" allowScriptAccess="sameDomain" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="480" height="409"></embed> </object>

Trailers work fine for me. Although usualy when viewing videos online I just wait a while until it fully buffers then view it without any buffering interuptions.

Hi,

I have looked at a few of the sites and come up with the following:

The first site doesn't seem to have any movie trailers on it but instead links to other websites that host the actual movie trailers such as IGN Movies. I have made a BB Code for IGN which can be found here (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=149696).

The apple trailers site as well as the IMDB site and MSN Movies do not allow users to embed their videos (from what I see). In theory I could make a BB Code for the Apple movie trailers website and MSN Movies but since they don't offer users the option of embeding their videos, this would be considered as "stealing" their bandwidth if I were to make a BB Code for embeding purposes.

Sorry, but that one doesn't appear to wrok. The reason being that they have disabled embeding on that video.
