I have been with hostgator for nearly 6 months now, haven't had a problem with them at all. Seems since they hired new tech's things have went up from what I have heard. Anyway, sorry to hear of your problems, good luck on a new host.

Can you tell me who's the techy who chatted with you for your problems ?!
i'll do my best to handle it and come back with a solution if you really had problems... sometimes it's just that you don't talk to the good person.

Not being funny but if there is a "not so" god person then perhaps they need a shake up in the support staff, because of the 1 or 2 "not so" good staff could be losing them many customers, one (nearly) for sure in this thread

Asmallorange is good. I've been with them over a year and recently moved to a VPS package. The support is amazing.
Email Tim and put www.quantnet.org in the referrral form. I vouch for them with both hands.

I really don't like Hostgator. The server load is quite ridiculous and I'm certain they're overcrowding the server I'm on. I've asked to be moved and they refuse. But I also don't get enough people coming to my site to justify tripling monthly server costs just to get a host that won't screw me over. :(

Hate HostGator. They kept shutting down my site because the CPU usage was too high. They oversold and I got screwed. They told me I had to upgrade to the semi-dedicated server. I upgraded to semi-dedicated and the site ran like absolute crap. I finally said NO MORE with them and went to Dediwebhost.com and have been happy ever since.
