I'm not sure if this has been ever requested but I've always wanted a mod where users are able to change their own username. It should display like "Edit Username (Optional)" in the Edit Email & Password section of the User CP, above the "Edit Password" fields.

Anyone care to make, please? I would definitely make a donation to whoever that is gonna make the mod.

Well, that hack is totally different from what I'm requesting. Members should be able to edit/change usernames by themselves in the User CP, just like the way how you update your email address or change your password. I'd like to do the same way for changing usernames, too, rather than getting billions of PM's and threads for name changes.

Since the hack that was suggested was by me and it's not what you want...

Maybe after I release 1.0.1 which will have a lot more features, I will build and release this one for you? As a totally different hack.

It may be ready by Friday (I'd say the earliest unless I finish what I need to tonight...) because tomorrow's my last day of school (YAY!), and I'm not coming straight home...

I AM working on this. I've got most of the code in place. I just need to borrow stuff from the username request... And make a template.
