Has anyone here integrated vBulletin's registration process with PMD's signup form?
This would be a good way of making some supplemental income, if we could only figure out how to do it.
Any ideas?

I just generate a list of all users that have registered after a certain date, and I add them to my list. Kindof a pain in the ass, but it works :)

What is postmaster direct?
How much money do you make per person?

Postmaster Direct is a mailing list program that you have to pay a monthly fee on depending on the number of users that are subscribed. It's very powerful, and I like it a lot. I just got it, but you can find more info at http://www.postmastergeneral.com.
What Cold Steel wanted to do was have it so that when you register for his message boards, it adds you to the mailing list as well.....this adds more people that are subscribed which in turn (if you have a newsletter with ads) can make you more money.

not quite. the postmasterdirect is a list where people sign up for topics of interested and then companies send them direct marketing emails (which would otherwise be spam). The person who referred the email gets 50% of the cost the company paid to send the ad. It is quite a good program really if your users actually stay subscribed for long.

Wouldn't this be an invasion of privacy being that VB doesn't tell their users that they will get email from 3rd Parties?

1. PostMaster Direct is a double optin mailing list. You sign up and they ask for confirmation. You get mailings in categories you sign up for.
2. He is talking about his own Forums not here.
