Strongly considering switching from IPB to vB, but my current board includes a photo gallery that's very popular with our members (500+ members, 6000+ pix). If I understand correctly, there's not an integrated product produced by vB. What are my best options for a well-matched, secure, easy-to-use gallery for my members?

PhotoPost Pro would be your best bet.

if you talk about "really" integrated, meaning having forums transformed to albums, there is a solution coming like... tomorrow... or you can check our Photopost if you want it seperate from your forum... that one if the best reference possible.

By "integrated" I mean that board members would have privileges to post photos to the gallery without requiring separate registration. I also need the ability to skin the gallery to look and feel similar to the board. I'll look at PhotoPost.

I use photoplog which although fairly simple integrates nicely into vb's skins and templates which was something i didn't like about the coppermine thing we were using before.

not yet released officially, this is the RC2...

i'm working my first custom version today (for snakes albums)... so i will learn from it if i do errors...
the custom is simply a template edit that let you make it look like you wish! so imagine the flexibility

I recommend vBPicGallery (http://www.cpurigs.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=32) - it's awesome!

nexialys.. nothing against your album script it looks very good but, I personally would not install a product that requires original VB files to be edited..

much better a XML file plugin.

actually, WEBDosser, you then miss the installation of like 75% of the useful hacks here... the only file edit we require is a single hook that is missing in the system... we do not edit anything else than adding a hook... anyway, your choice.

and it IS a xml product... not a plugin.

PS: hooks were requested for this file, last year, and nothing is done yet:

Photoplog works very well and is totally integrated with vBulletin.

I would recommend PhotoPost Pro, I have used a lot of them, and I like PhotoPost Pro the best. :)
