I will be launching a forum in a week. I am wanting to change the merging behavior on the forum so that the posts that are merged are soft deleted instead of hard deleted. I want them to remain where they were originally so that they can be referred back to at a later date.
I would also like the deletion reason to be "Merged into post #????" where ???? is the ID of the post, and the contents would remain. The host post (the one everything is moved to) would be annotated in bold above the merged content.
Here is what I am wanting.
