The 30/30/30 Rule: When you first register you will not have access to the member only forums until you are a Full Member. There is a 30 day / 30 reply probationary period. After you've made 30 replies and 30 days have past, your account will automatically be upgraded. In order to keep newbies from spamming the board with 100 crap posts in 5 minutes, during this probationary period you will not be allowed to start new threads and you will only be able to make one reply every 30 minutes.

I found this being done a very huge board. I would like to do this on my board... any similarities?

I would think that would turn more people away and making them feel that the site is too......................restricted.

Not worried about that.... I run a warez site where people are coming on and never contributing, only leeching.... I am trying to aliminate this types of members.

I have found an advance flood control hack which enables customization to flood control on a per usergroup basis. Is there another mod that will move users to a new usergroup after X posts?

Use Usergroup Promotions. It's a default vbulletin option
