For some reason, forum category names don't return a list of forums for me.

For e.g, anyone know why this would happen? :( I don't know how long it has been like this, but I can't seem to revert any templates to find where the problem is.

if i click on forums, it shows. seems your forum's main page is forum.php

My point is that the forum categories do not show the forums. Go to my index of forums (yes it's forums.php) and try to click any of the parent forum categories, like "write here", "general discussion", etc.

I don't think everyone fully understands the problem. I'm a bit confused as well as I don't understand your problem.

Alright, if you click this link it's blank, when it SHOULD SHOW the forums that belong to that category!
http://www.writersbeat.com/general-discussion-f1.html
http://www.writersbeat.com/write-here-f3.html
http://www.writersbeat.com/writing-craft-f17.html
all of those categories are blank!
yet they do have forums under them OBVIOUSLY on the front page
e.g
-General Discussion
--Introductions
--Writers Cafe
--VIP Membership
If you click general discussion, the forums under it DO NOT SHOW!
Does no one know how to do this? Or where to check this could be occurring ? :(
Guess you must have fixed it ?
All appear to be working fine using Firefox 2.0.04

No, I see what he means, however, you are linking to html pages, not php pages. You need to make a query to the database in order to get the list of subforums. Where are you doing that in your html page? Assuming that is OK (I seem to recall a hack that htmlizes your php pages), I think you need to look at your forumhome_* templates and make sure they haven't been modified to cause the problem.

revert your forumdisplay template ...
if that doesn't do anything it could be a product/plugin .. to test - disable the plugin system
