Is there a hack that stops Adblock from working?

No, it's done client side. You would need to develop ads not currently in the adblock filterset.

If you're really adamant, enclose a CAPTCHA wrapped in the google ad tags that users must enter in order to post/reply. Then, those with AdBlock enable would be SOL.

But, honestly, a few studies have shown that on average less than 1% of the web browsing community uses Ad-Blocking of some sort. Not nearly enough to affect site revenue.
