Problems With Activation Email

Hi, I have recently started having problems with members not receiveing activation emails when they register, however the only email address that are having the problem is googlmail and gmail, I am wondering if anyone else is getting this problem or has had this problem recently and knows of a way it can be resolved?

Yes I have but haven't received any, I have also had a new member today who joined with a comcast email address and he had the same problem.

After taking a look at the primary users under my users awaiting email activation it looks like I am having a big problem with my activation emails but I can't understand why

Are the emails in the spam folder?

^ That has been my experience with this issue. Try modifying the subject title of your message. Search Phrases for the variable: activateaccount

I have actually asked the members that have contacted me about not receiving the activation email and I have asked them to check the spam folder but they haven't recieved anything even when I have resent them.

Thanks for the above info tobybird I will take a look and see if I can find the problem.

I have done everything it says in the troubleshoot email above and nothing seems to be coming through as regards activation emails, I have registered an account to see if I get the problem and I have done no email in inbox or spam box at all, but when I do a test email from the maintanence it's working fine and I recieve the email and I don't get an error, I have checked all settings to ensure I haven't missed anything off but all settings seem fine.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

What hacks do you have installed?

The ones I have recently installed are the horoscopes, Welcome Panel Template Rewrite and NoSpam!

I don't see any that may conflict, apart from NoSpam!, have you tried disabling it?

I have disbaled NoSpam! and I am now getting the activation emails through so it must be that conflicting with the activation emails.
