I've recently added a lot of games to my arcade which in turn has increased my diskspace. I have had to purchase an extra 2GB for one month until I can find a solution to the problem.

The problem I have is, if I delete the .tar files the games won't appear in my control panel so I have no way of ever uninstalling a game that doesn't work from the list. I did an experiment and deleted one of the .tar files. It was still appearing in the list of games that everyone can see but not in my control panel. I then re-uploaded the .tar file thinking it would then appear in my control panel so I could uninstall it from the list, unfortunately it didn't appear in my control panel.

So, you can see that if I delete the .tar files I'll have no way of uninstalling any games from the database and I can't afford to keep purchasing extra diskspace every month. If anyone has any suggestions I'd be very grateful? :)

I delete all my tar files after installing...

Anther way to delete a game..
Admincp >> Arcade >> Games List:
use the Custom Filter to find the game you want to delete...
Click on the Number (0-9) or letter the game starts with..
when the games list comes up,,find the game you want to delete..
Click Delete to the right of the game..It will ask you : Are you sure you want to delete..
In the box below it you have three options..

Level of removal,,
Do not remove anything
Remove from database only
Remove from database and delete game files..

Choose witch one and click Save Settings...

Thanks very much for your reply :)

Unfortunately, if I just delete the .tar files to save some space I'll have no way of uninstalling any games from the database at a later date.

Has anyone else ever come across this problem?

You didn't read what I said...

Yes,,, you can delete a game even if you have already deleted the tar file...

I did read what you said and I really appreciate your help :)

I tried and tried to do exactly what you suggested but the page just hung. Anyway, I was eventually able to do it so thanks for your help. The problem I have now is the highscores, they seem to have doubled. Would you know what's casuing that please?
