Hey,

Whenever i take a backup (Save to server on a CHMOD 0777 folder) it times out.. it just stops loading, 99.99% of the time at this table: Processing: vb_announcementread

I asked in the vbulletin.com support ticket but they wont help me, they say its a server issue. Which it isnt. I am on HostGator, one of the, if not the, largest hoster in the world and i have never heard of other people using HG with vB have this problem.

So i was wondering if you could help me!

Regards, Jay

P.S When i take a backup in phpmyadmin it also times out, i think, it only lets me download a file thats 11 meg.. my database is under 100 meg, that is an estimate. It says in my admin CP
Data Usage 85.51 MB but i also have a Joomla (vJoomla) installtion in it.

Try making a backup via shell, but if you don't have shell access, then try the file in the 'do not upload' folder. See here (http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showthread.php?t=231742) for more details.

Then it would most likely be just like phpmyadmin, and if it is, it will also timeout.
