Just learn (x)html/css and a little bit of javascript, and by "learn" I don't mean learn to use WYSIWYG editors - I mean learn to code it manually, then it will be easy for you to figure out how to edit vbulletin styles.

No, at least get a programmer's editor. Notepad sucks.

Notepad ++ http://notepad-plus.sourceforge.net/uk/site.htm
or jEdit http://www.jedit.org/

Also, you can learn a lot from Dreamweaver by switching back and forth between WYSIWYG view and code view.

Doesn't matter what you use as long as it isn't WYSIWYG editor. If editor has syntax highlight function - good for you. Use whatever works better for you.

In my opinion, if you don't know CSS AND HTML, your designs won't look very good. Many "designers" just edit the WYS editor replacing colors and a few borders from the default (I suppose that is how some learn) but good skins have custom css and a fair bit of template edits.

I am willing to train you, for free, my msn is mikec624@hotmail.com. Though I am not the best designer, I do know html and css as well as a few tricks and stuff.

Wow, thank you VERY much Audentio, this will be appreciated and will do anything I can to repay you. I will add you in a few hours when I'm home from school! :D
