Disable Right Click on your Forum

This disables right clicking on all images only or everything and text selection.
With Usergroup Permission and specified forums.

Although its not 100% proof it will discourage people from trying to steal your images and site content.
Hopefully. I know there are many ways to get around this but its a start.

You must have javascript enable!

Uninstall any other Right CLick Hacks/Mods.
Import the product via the ACP.
Go to vbulletin Options -->> BAJI26 - Disable Right Click and adjust your settings.
Setting the FORUMID to 0 will disable the entire forum.
Time: 30 secs


- Updated: Disable Right Click for images and total right click disabled.
- Update: Added options to turn the hack on/off from vb options.
- Update: Added disable per usergroup option.
- Update: Added option to custom alert messages.
- Update: Added option to disable text selection per usergroup.
- Update: Added option to apply hack to certain forums, and users.

I just looked it over and there's nothing wrong with it TO support it, so it would be pointless to have this as supported as its adding the "Disable Right Click" Javascript to your header template automatically for you.

Nice mod though OP. And GLAD you mentioned that it doesn't 100% fully prevent people from stealing images :)

Thanks! As Redline said there is really nothing to support unless you need assistance on how to import a product. All it does really is adds the code in your forum so it makes it easier for you to upgrade vbulletin without having to worry about another template edit, which I hate.

Admins and mods are not affected by the right click disabled.

To change the message open the product:

Find

Come on??? Why are the comments about Firefox 100% ignored? If it can't work in Firefox please say so rather than ignoring the members.

I understand that the world has not yet seen past IE, but some forums do have a pretty big userbase of Mozilla users. :) Is this issue not able to be addressed? Noticed when viewing as guest or member with custom skin(s) you can right click anything and copy except for images even though I have copy anything/images set to no.
Your hack works like it suppose to when viewing with vB default skin, the right click is disabled on copy anything or image. Any ideas what could be causing the copy anything to be enabled when viewing with custom skin even though the image right click is disabled in custom skin? :confused:

The hack is looking for "<!-- /logo -->" in your header, so if your custom code doesn't have it it will not work in its entirety.

What I can suggest is after your Logo code add "<!-- /logo -->" .

just installed v5 and its left a piece of text in one of the templates that says "search_text"

this goes away once you log in but is on the login template somewhere. Couldnt find where it was so i uninstalled V5 and went back to v4. Works a treat, and will install v5 when bugs have been ironed out.

There is a little thing ive been working on but its actually relevant to the photoplog lite system..............the no right click is an image or text or everything, however when you select an image in photoplog and the selct the image again it actually takes the image "out of the site" as it were so the right click is available hence the image can easily be harvested just curious how we can remove the right click on the photoplog image (the final image as it does disable the normal viewing of the images)

For this reason, I have uninstalled v5.0.0 and re-installed v4.0.1, which does not do this but works fine.

I'll have to dl and install vb3.7, I was waiting for the release of a more stable one but I guess I can try the present. It was made for vb3.6 and vb3.7 is alot different than vb3.6.

I want to Prevent Right Click On Images on forum id=100 only for Usergroup ID=5. The result is block in all forums, even on index.
The same for Prevent text selection and Prevent Right Click On Everything
To Put forum id numbers have no effect.

I like this however I have a problem where if a user clicks on an attachment, it opens it up in another window where they can right click there. I don't want to prevent them from opening up this other window as many of the thumbnails are hard to see otherwise.

I have installed this, but it conflicts with chattbox i have.
