Help: change to Column in showthread.php

Hey all, please do not laugh at me, i haven't used VB since 1.xx so decided to get a licence today and am really stuck with this new view that i dont really enjoy, i am looking to change the post view where user, number of posts and so on are displayed in the left side of the screen instead of in the header of the post.

please help.. or point me in to the right direction.
