Hi,
Can someone please help me with this one. When a PM is instantly emailed to a user, or a subscribed thread is emailed - i don't want the contents of the post to be in the email. I would like to force the user to come back to the forum to read it.
Is there an easy way to do this.
Thanks for any help offered.

for the PM search for the phrase pmrecieved
Its contents are:
DO NOT REPLY TO THIS EMAIL!
***************************
Dear $touserinfo[username],
You have received a new private message at $vboptions[bbtitle] from $fromusername, entitled "$plaintext_title".
To read the original version, respond to, or delete this message, you must log in here:
$vboptions[bburl]/private.php
This is the message that was sent:
***************
$plaintext_message
***************
Again, please do not reply to this email. You must go to the following page to reply to this private message:
$vboptions[bburl]/private.php
All the best,
$vboptions[bbtitle]
Just remove the "$plaintext_message" and rewrite to how you want it. Repeat for the subscription.

Hi whitemike,
Thanks for the reply.
I can't seem tp find this phrase. Is it in the admin or do I need to edit an actual php file?
Thanks
Bob

Hey Bob, sorry, lost track of this. Go to Languages & Phrases -> Search Phrases
Then enter pmrecieved but check the variable radio option.
Hope this helps
