According to my host, GD is compiled properly on the server, but vBulletin is not calling the app properly. I think that I have everything set properly, but something is still not working. Everything else on the forums works just fine except anything associated with Image Handling.

Any thoughts?

your host is trying to make look stupid my friend, because there is no special way to call GD... it is or it is not installed... and vBulletin GD handling works on hundred thousands sites using it, so why would it be wrong on your forum only ??

did you look at the PHPInfo to see if the GD lib is actually active ?!

Thanks for the info. Service quality levels vary depending on who answers the call when I call support at my host.

Every time I try to look at phpinfo, I get a message saying it is disabled. I went into the server settings on vbulletin options and set it up to be viewable to the public but I still get the disabled message. Am I missing some other place that I need to enable this?

GD is not a setting you can activate from vBulletin... it have to be activated when you install PHP... http://ca.php.net/gd is your friend

btw, if you find complicated to manipulate these features, you may call for a webmaster here who will create the best environment for your forum...

Sorry, let me rephrase my question. I can't tell whether or not it has been installed by my host (shared environment, I don't have that level of access). Your post earlier said to use phpinfo in the maintenance area of VB to see if it was active. But I can't even do this because I keep getting a message saying phpinfo is disabled.

oh, this part... then you have to edit your includes/config.php file and set to activate the PHPinfo part... in the bottom of the file, if you read well...

phpinfo is disabled.. most probably by your host, i have never setup a vb and had to edit that part of the config.php file yet?..

if your host has disabled it there's no way YOU can set it.
