How did you decide?

Curious .. how did all you coders decide these 2 things:-

1:- That you wanted to write vbull hacks

2:- What hack to write as a starter & what was it?

Most coders started because they had something specific they wanted to add for their community. Often, these are small mods not worth releasing, and eventually they do something big and release it.

My first work on vB was integration work for an RPG hack. My first mod that I wrote on my own that I remember is the Activity Hack. It was quite simple originally, but time has changed it into something a lot better.
