Hows everytbody doing...
Currently i have the option to embed videos with HTML turned off....My question is....
If i turn the option back on to let people embed videos is there a way to limit the usage to certain usergroups?
I know its "not safe" so they say to allow open HTML like that but i was wondering if there was a way i could allow it for the regular members and not the newbs who are just joining..
any help?

its at the bottom of the Signature Permissions i think in any user group.
thats to allow html like www.obsession2speed.com isnt it?
i want to be able to give a usergroup permission to embed videos from say youtube..and all the other various media sharing sites...codes like this
<object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/av6fWfmugds"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/av6fWfmugds" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
Is there a way to do this for just a certain group? I know about all the hacks to embed videos using parts of the URL just wondering if theres an alternative to not having to use that when youve reached a certain group.

ahhhhhhh i get what ya mean now. i really dont think this is possable at all, once the html is enabled for the forum there is no stopping any user group from using the html code.
i hope someone can prove me wrong and good luck.

It's possible to restrict by usergroup with a modification, but all I found was this modification for 3.5.4:
